Lyriem

Overview:

A full marketing site for Lyriem, a freelance platform built on a no-fee model that connects Makers (freelancers) with Initiators (the founders and businesses who hire them). I designed and built the multi-page site in Webflow, with a shared design system, a CMS-driven blog, two fee calculators, and the consent and SEO groundwork a new platform needs.

Challenge:

Lyriem's pitch is simple to say and hard to prove: a freelance platform where neither side pays platform fees. The site had to speak to two audiences with different questions, make the savings concrete instead of asking visitors to take them on trust, and meet privacy requirements for visitors in both Europe and California. It also had to stay easy for a small team to extend as the platform grew.

Approach:
I built the site in four parts:

  • Design system: a shared set of styles and components in Webflow, so every page draws on the same building blocks and new pages can be added without redesign.

  • Two audience paths: separate pages for Makers and Initiators, each with its own fee calculator. A visitor enters their own numbers and sees what they would keep or pay, which turns the no-fee claim into a figure.

  • CMS blog: a structured blog the team can publish to without a developer, supporting search content such as comparisons with fee-charging platforms.

  • Compliance and SEO: GDPR and CCPA cookie consent implemented with Consent Pro, and structured data added with SchemaFlow so search engines can read the site's content properly.

Results:
We implemented a multi-step process:

  1. Understanding Business Objectives: Aligning with leadership to clarify goals and key success metrics.

  2. UX and Competitive Audit: Evaluating user experiences and benchmarking against industry competitors to identify gaps and opportunities.

  3. Architecture Analysis: Assessing current systems and processes to ensure feasibility and scalability of proposed solutions.

  4. Stakeholder and User Research: Conducting interviews, surveys, and observations to gather insights into user pain points and expectations.

  5. Solution Ideation: Brainstorming and exploring creative solutions based on research findings.

  6. Solution Proposal: Consolidating insights and ideas into a clear, actionable proposal to drive alignment and execution.

Result:
Lyriem launched with a complete site covering its home, about, how-it-works, audience, and blog pages, all running on one design system.
